As 2012 comes to a close, it is time to look at the year ending and the New Year beginning. Aren’t we all supposed to analyze the goals we set for ourselves, in the previous year, find out what worked and what didn’t? My wonderful husband and working partner is great at this, I’m not so good! I’m not sure if everyone does this, I usually do this in my mind and not on a blog.
Real Estate is not boring, it is exciting. After all, everyone has to live someplace. 2012 was a good year for our team in real estate. We are fortunate to sell real estate in Houston, Texas. Our area did not experience the bubble that affected many large cities. Our housing market did not implode; it did fall but is now recovering. Because of our job growth in Texas, the real estate market was strong in 2012 and we were able to move inventory with fewer days on the market. This is good thing!
Here in Houston, we are not out of land for development. New construction is in great demand! Existing homes must keep up with improvements the market demands or be left behind. Existing homes that were improved, the market responded favorably. Another good thing!
We have entered the new world of marketing in real estate. No longer is a simple ad in the local paper enough. Change is hard but necessary. We are making those changes to meet the marketing challenges of 2013 and it is amazing! My team and I are all excited about 2013! We hope you share it with us!
