The 48th annual Houston Pod Chili Cookoff will take place this weekend at Traders Village. This is the oldest chili cookoff in the world and will include chili cooks from across the country including the past and current Terlinqus International champions. Competition categories at the cookoff include CASI Chili, Ron Charlton Memorial Junior Chili Championship, CASI Chili Open Meat, CASI Showmanship and Jackpot Bean Cookoff.
Proceeds from the benefit will go to Special Olympics of Texas and Camp Hope. Traders Village is a flea market in Houston that opened in 1989. Covering more than 105 acres and including 2,000 dealers each weekend, you will find everything you can imagine plus more.
