Almost 50 years have passed since Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the moon. Whether you were alive then or not, you surely recognize what a momentous ocassion that day was. To celebrate this special day, there are many cool events you can take part in.
On Tuesday, July 16, have lunch with an Apollo-era flight controller at the Space Center Houston. Tickets are $35.95 per child and $69.95 per child with discounts for members.
On Thursday, July 18, have lunch with the Children of Apollo at the Space Center Houston. Tickets are $35.95 per child and $69.95 per child with discounts for members.
On Saturday, July 20th, there Space Center Houston will host “Apollo 50 Live at Space Center Houston” Celebration. This all day event will include special presentations, book signings, a concert, hands-on activities and a countdown to Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the moon at 9:56 p.m.

- Stars Wars Themed Moon Landing Celebration at the Children’s Museum of Houston
